On The Go Transportation
Vehicles and trucks that are transporting loads of excessive size or weight beyond legal limits and are busy in operating transportation tasks on public highways are mandated to obtain oversize permits when their loads that can not be decreased in size. These permits may be obtained upon written application from the Commercial Transport section of Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch. Oversize permits are obtainable not only for the vehicles or loads that are 4.4 meters wide, but also for wider vehicles also. The particulars of the commodity being transported along with reasons of non-reducible size will need to be provided with the application of the permit.

Oversize permits are also assigned on the basis of axle size of the car, as there are certain limits on the load-per-axle to assess the need of the transportation permit. A load that goes above the limit per-axle is considered as being over-weighted or oversized, as opposed to considering the overall weight of the load. Suppose your commercial vehicle transports construction machinery, pre-built homes, construction materials, or containers. It’s weight limitations are then depended weight limits per-axle to become eligible for this permit.
